My focus is on working with individual operations to maximize profitability of the cow herd. Everyone has different costs in feeding; but everyone agrees that feeding is the biggest cost to producing beef. Balanced feed rations, at least cost, at each phase of an animals’ gestation or growth is critical in being able “maximize potential” . Whether you are keeping replacement heifers or bulls, selling off the cow or back-grounding for feedlot or grass, it is important to know how to achieve your animals requirements in order to maximize how they work for your operation.
